What happens when you call 911 for life-threatening emergency?

If you or your family has a medical emergency, your local ambulance corps comes to your home and if needed, take you to the hospital.  Under life threatening situations however, PC-ALS is also dispatched and works as a team with your local ambulance corps at your home or en route to the hospital.
PC-ALS has paramedics on duty 24 hours, 7 days a week, 365 days a year!
Billing for Advanced Life Services is still handled through your local ambulance corps.  If paramedics are on board, the amount billed will reflect the extra services provided.  Most insurance companies and Medicare pay for transport charges to the hospital, including the paramedic service.
