This course defines the different allergic reactions and the body’s physiologic response to antigens. It emphasizes the importance of careful history taking and how to recognize the signs and symptoms of allergic reactions, and how to treat and care for a patient who is
suffering from an allergic reaction or from anaphylaxis. This course is sponsored by Pike County Advanced Life Support and has been registered with the Pennsylvania Department of Health for 2 hours continuing education credit for Pennsylvania certified EMTs.
