in the prehospital environment. The course will be presented by Brandon Smith.
This lecture meets NYS Core Content requirements and is approved by NJDOHSS for

The BLS Healthcare Provider Course is designed to provide a wide variety of healthcare professionals the ability to recognize several
life-threatening emergencies, provide CPR, use an AED, and relieve choking in a safe, timely and effective manner. The course is intended for certified or noncertified, licensed or non-licensed healthcare professionals. Non-DTVAC or PCALS personnel will be charged a fee for this course. Pasta Dinner & Mini Tricky Tray Fundraiser Announced

On Saturday, May 19th Pike County Advanced Life Support will host an all-you-can-eat pasta dinner fundraiser. The dinner will run from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Delaware Township Municipal Building, 116 Wilson Hill Road in Dingmans Ferry. Three different types of pasta will be available and dinner will include salad, rolls, dessert, soda, tea and coffee. The cost is $7 for adults, $5 for children and those under five eat free. This will be a pay-at-the-door event. In addition to the dinner, this event will feature a mini-Tricky Tray, 50/50 raffle and live music. This event has been graciously sponsored by Dingman Delaware Insurance Agency. Pike County Advanced Life Support provides emergency paramedic services to residents of Pike County and the surrounding area. All proceeds from this event will be used to  purchase emergency medical equipment.

 

Epinephrine Auto-Injector Primary

Primary use of epinephrine auto-injectors. Includes didactic and skill performance, as well as successful completion of a written and practical skill examination. This is the PA Department of Health module to allow EMTs, functioning with an approved BLS service with medical command, to administer an epinephrine auto-injector. This course is sponsored by Pike County Advanced Life Support and has been registered with the Pennsylvania Department of Health for 2 hours of continuing education credit for Pennsylvania certified EMTs. This course defines the different allergic reactions and the body’s physiologic response to antigens. It emphasizes the importance of careful history taking and how to recognize the signs and symptoms of allergic reactions, and how to treat and care for a patient who is
