Pike County ALS Announces Penny Social Fundraiser
DINGMANS FERRY, PA — On Sunday, March 25th, Pike County Advanced Life Support will hold a Penny Social Fundraiser at St. Vincent de Paul Church on Route 739 in Dingmans Ferry. Doors open at 12:30 pm and the calling will begin promptly at 2:30 pm. Admission is $1.00 and includes a sheet of tickets. This event will include over 300 small prizes and 25 special trays. Tickets for the small prizes are only 50 cents for 25 tickets. A 50/50 raffle will also be held and a concession stand will be available with food and drink. Pike County Advanced Life Support provides emergency paramedic and ambulance services to the residents and visitors of Pike County. All proceeds from this event will be used to purchase emergency medical equipment. 2011 Annual Operational Report Released
This week, Pike County Advanced Life Support released its 2011 Annual Operational Report. This report outlines operational activities and data regarding the organization in 2011. Highlights of the report include: responses to over 1,800 emergency incidents in over 30 municipalities, the implementation of EZ-IO bone drill devices, introduction of blood clotting agents and the use of automatic vehicle locators (vehicle tracking devices). The Operational Report is presented annually to the elected officials in every municipality that Pike County Advanced Life Support provides service in and to local public safety agencies.
